Questions
Good to know.
What photographers ask before they start. Something missing? Ask the help bubble, or write to us.
Who can see a gallery?
Only people with its private link or code. For each gallery you choose: ask for a 6-digit code, or let the link alone open it. You can also hide the cover photo and names until the code is entered.
Do my clients need an app or an account?
No. They tap the link on their phone or computer and the gallery opens, in English, Hebrew or French.
What can clients download?
Every photo as a light file for phones and WhatsApp, Instagram post and Story versions with the whole photo on a white frame, and a printable HD file in full quality. One photo, the photos they chose, or the whole gallery, each saved as its own file.
How do clients choose their favorites?
They tap ♥ on the photos they like, then save them to a named list (Mom, Wall print, Album) or download them. You see every list and note in your dashboard.
Can I send proofs before the final delivery?
Yes. For each gallery you choose what clients can download: every size, only the lighter ones, or nothing while they choose. You can also add a soft watermark with your logo or studio name. They pick their favorites with the hearts, and you deliver the finals when you're ready.
Where are the photos kept?
On Tataam's server in Germany for fast previews, and the full-size files in Google Drive storage that Tataam manages. Nothing is public.
How is this different from Google Drive or WeTransfer?
Those send your clients zip files and links that can expire, with nothing to show your work off. Tataam gives them a beautiful gallery with your brand, one-tap downloads in four sizes, favorites lists for the family, and no expiry dates.
Do galleries expire?
No. Tataam has no expiry dates: a gallery stays online until you take it offline or delete it, as long as your plan has room for it, so families can come back to it years later. No more download links that die after 30 days.
What happens if I move to a smaller plan or stop paying?
You can move up any time. Moving down, or stopping, takes effect only when the month or year you paid for ends, never in the middle. If your photos are then more than the new plan holds (3 GB on Free), we email you first, and you have 14 days to download them or choose which galleries to keep. After that, galleries are deleted for good, oldest first, until your photos fit.
Can I try it for free?
Yes. The Free plan has every gallery feature and 3 GB of photos, with no card needed. Tataam is in early access, so ask for an invitation and we'll set you up personally.
Does Tataam sell prints or share videos?
Not yet. Tataam delivers your photos beautifully and helps you design the album; you keep selling prints and ordering albums from your own lab, and your clients' favorites lists tell you exactly which photos they want.
How much storage do I need?
A gigabyte holds about 150 photos with all their sizes. Every plan has unlimited galleries; the plans above differ only in storage and in how you get help.
Can each gallery have its own look?
Yes. Choose one of seven designs (Classic, Wedding, Fine art, Journal, Simcha, Tender, Conference), then its colours, fonts, cover, photo corners, how many photos sit in a row, and the Hebrew date on the cover, with a live preview. Set your design once for every new gallery, or give each gallery its own. Every design is in every plan.
Is it easy for grandparents?
Yes. Simple view shows one big photo at a time with big buttons: next, I love it, save. Anyone can switch it on, and you can send a link that opens straight in Simple view.
Can I design albums in Tataam?
Yes. Start from the list your clients made (for example "Album") and Tataam lays out the whole album in the order of the day. Then change anything, or pick one of 16 ready-made styles: layouts, photo colours (black and white, film, golden hour and more), papers, frames, arches, washi tape, torn edges, gold foil and 29 fonts with Hebrew. Drag photos onto the pages, even straight from your computer. Your clients turn the pages like a real book, leave notes and approve it, and a smaller copy for the parents takes one click. Working with a graphic designer? Give them a private link to that one album, nothing else in your account, and use their version when they send it back. Then one click makes print-ready files for any lab, with its own settings (resolution, bleed, JPEG or TIFF, spreads or single pages, a wrap-around cover with the spine) saved as a preset, and a PDF proof, exactly as the album looks on screen.
Is my account safe?
Yes. Every page travels encrypted, passwords are stored scrambled, and repeated wrong guesses are paused. You can also switch on two-step sign-in in My account: after your password, Tataam asks for Touch ID, Face ID or a code from your phone, so a password alone can't open your account.
